Pictures of the latest Additions

This page shows the latest match striker pictures added to the site for those who don't want to dig into the individual manufaturers pages. I'll try and change them each time I update the site (August 2009 update).

Pot Match Striker Pot Match Striker Base

This match striker pot was picked up by Christine Karalius and features St. Quentin and the Latin "motto pro deo et patria" but what it is referring to we can't figure out.

Bryant and May Match Striker

A nice Carlton Ware Bryant and May match striker picture sent in by Simon Hartley.

Pewter Rim Match Striker (Italian) Pewter Mark

This is an interesting example found in an antique shop in California by Wes Jones as a present for a striker collecting friend. It made of carved pumice and pewter, and is marked as "Raimond Pewter" which appears to be an Italian firm.

Ginger Beer Match Striker

A Meadowcroft and Law  ginger beer bottle shaped match striker. Colin from Blackburn, Lancashire sent the image, and the striker itself was dug up by his friend Steve who says it's a rare one (he's only come across this type of striker for this firm once in 30 years of bottle digging).
