Company History This company was founded from the pre-existing firm of H.J. Olivant in 1948, and operated from the Etruscan works in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire until 1954 (any further information anybody has on this form would be welcome as this is all I have been able to find out) Marks A simple mark with the initials of the firm, this is also seen within a shield. ![]() Dome style match striker
This dome style match striker was produced with a variety of colours of rim. In addition to the green shown here I have seen a red/brown and a purple example. The application of the glaze is fairly crude, and in places it fills the striking surface almost completely. Dating from between 1948 and 1954 this is probably one of the latest match strikers shown on the web site.
