A large number of match strikers you can find are unmarked, so it is impossible to say for certain who made them (although is some cases their construction can give you a "list of suspects"). All of the following are Ball style match strikers. These can have rough or ridged surfaces to strike the match on, or, in some cases are smooth, acting as match holders only (although early highly flammable matches could have been struck on them, as they could be struck on the seat of your trousers !).                             |
